NEWS / WEATHER / VIEWS

WEATHER   Chicago 60601

The late season heat will continue across the area through early in the work week before the pattern finally changes to more seasonable on Wednesday. A tad “cooler” is possible by Sunday and Monday compared to Thursday through Saturday. To escape the heat, afternoon lake breezes are favored along the Lake Michigan shore, favoring temperatures a few to several degrees cooler than those inland. The overall bottom line is prolonged heat, especially for this late in the season. Remember heat safety, as heat can be just as impacting this time of year as mid-summer
